This song is a personal account of the love of the wolf for the moon. It can also be read as the love of a man for a woman, masculine for feminine. The wolf, and its spirit is one that expresses great love, loyalty, and freedom; and is also one that is greatly misunderstood, certainly for the last 500 years of life on this planet. Wolves are family oriented, forming tight family units, and when choosing a mate, mate for life. Wolves are not the vicious killers that they have been made out to be, they specialise, like most animals in their natural habitat in taking only what they need to survive. It is more the incursion of man into wolves territory that has created the misunderstanding and imbalance that now sees wolves as an endangered species. The wolf spirit in me sings his love that all may be free, may live a good life, and that the heart is followed always.
